I am a young woman travelling through life like everyone else… except I am deeply embroiled in the kink community.

I identify as a dominant, feminist, dork, kinkster, and awkward social butterfly. Through this blog, I hope I can relate a realistic depiction of the kink scene, so that others who may be interested in the lifestyle will go out there and attend their own first events.

It’s been a few years since my first event in 2014 at just 18-years-old, scared and fresh-faced in a new environment. Now, a few years later, I have been to countless other events, and even help run the Toronto TNG Munch. In this time, I’ve been blessed with many friends, lovers, and play partners the community.

At the base of my kinks, I am a reaction junkie: I adore seeing different reactions of my bottoms whether it comes from pain, power, humiliation or anything you can think of. Evidently, I prefer to be in the Dominant role, or the “giving” position. I am also a huge sadist and adore pretty faces scrunched up in pain.

I continuously work towards self improvement in my kink life. I advocate for consent, risk aware consensual kink (RACK), and personal responsibility. This means that when I play, I try to do them in a manner that is as safe as possible. At this point, I would say that I am somewhat skilled in impact play, rope, and general meanness.

My vanilla life is centred around school and work. I don’t have a lot of free time, so I try to make the best of it.

TNG is a group meant for kinky people ages 18-35. We want to create a safe space where people can mingle without the fear of discrimination for their kinks. We have a monthly munch (which is a casual gathering of kinky people at a restaurant to chat and meet new/old friends) that is held on the 2nd Monday of every month. TNG is dear to my heart as it is the first kinky event I ever went to in Toronto. In fact, TNG is the first event for many people in Toronto. Every month we get a good number of new people, sometimes as much as 20% of the room! So come on out, and join us!

We also used to run a monthly play party (which is a party where people can get their kink on). However, we’ve recently lost our space, and we’re currently searching for somewhere else that is accessible and affordable. We do not make any profits out of running events, so choices are limited!

Toronto is such a big city, and we are blessed with a ginormous community that can be overwhelming for new people entering the scene. TNG strives to create a safe space for younger people so that they are able to connect with people their own age—people who are going through the same struggles and life events. We can act as a stepping stone so that people can become more comfortable in the larger scene. TNG is just the beginning! Most people who go to TNG as their first event, branch out and go to other events based off our suggestions.
